This is what I see each time I go on the other side of the safety gate. Anna and Brown both get SOOOOO ANGRY! They yell, grit their teeth, and shake the gate like they are trapped.
Anything to keep my little prisoners safe!!

Happy Anniversary!

On Saturday, we celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary "Clay style!" We loaded up the family and headed to Lubbock. We ate some yummy cheese sticks at Spanky's, toured the Tech campus, did a little shopping at Red Raider Outfitter (Clay insisted on getting the twinks some Tech gear) and lastly we did a little more shopping at the mall. It was a fun way to spend the day together as a family!

Uh-Oh #1:
We had a minor accident last night and had to take Anna to the emergency room. Brown pinched Ann's foot under their sliding closet door and put a fairly large slice in it. Poor little Anna was such a trooper!! I of course PANICKED! BIG TIME!! We're in a new town. No pediatrician yet! After 5:00 P.M. What was I to do?
Luckily, we found the minor emergency room easily and there was NO wait! The doctor saw us very quickly, cleaned up the cut, said that he thought it would heal without having to put Anna through the trauma of stitches, bandaged it up and sent us on our way.
Uh-Oh #2:
While I was changing Anna's diaper, I left Brown in the living room playing with some toys. I could totally see him (you can see anyone from basically anywhere in our teeny-tiny apartment), but then he got really quiet. NOT a good sign. I could still see him, but only from behind. As I walked back into the room, Brown turned around saying, "Uh- Ooooooh!"
. . . and this is what I saw!!!!
He had pulled my purse down from the counter, unzipped it, and beautifully decorated his face with my lipstick! Shucks- that lipstick was new!!

. . . that it was 71 degrees here last night? In July !! In Texas!!!
The Ham's invited us to a RockHounds baseball game last night and the weather was perfect! We enjoyed some yummy stadium food, a little ball and a cool breeze in the air! What a wonderful way to spend the evening!

Super Anna . . .

Anna has this new walk, and it just tickles us each time that she does it! She leans forward, puts her hands behind her and flies through the room like she's super woman.
Here I come to save the day . . . it's Super Anna!

Playing in the Country

Last week we met our Aunt Trudi, Uncle Stephen, and our two cousins Brian and Stephanie for the first time. They flew in from West Virginia for a much needed visit. We had so much fun meeting all of our relatives!
We all went to our Uncle Tim and Aunt Jan's house in the country and spent the afternoon enjoying the fresh air and splashin' around in the sprinkler!

Our Visit to The Woodlands

Last week, Grandinka & I took Anna and Brown for a short trip to The Woodlands Resort. I definitely recommend going here. It was very kid-friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean, the service was wonderful and the food was delightful!! Anna and Brown had such a fun time and they didn't want to leave the pool area. Thanks Grandinka for taking us on a very fun

While we were in The Woodlands, one of my best friends from college drove in from Richmond to meet us for lunch. It was a short visit, but it sure was fun to get together! After lunch, we let the kiddos run around and play before heading back home.
